Where we are
We are ideally positioned just a 2 minute walk from the clifftop and blue-flag award winning beaches, with views of Hengistbury Head, the Isle of Wight and Old Harry Rock. We are also a short, level walk from the local, independent coffee houses, restaurants and shops of Southbourne Grove, with its regular bus service into Bournemouth.
Christchurch Priory, Mudeford Quay and the New Forest are just a short drive away and if you are feeling adventurous the Purbeck Breezer open-top bus will take you all the way from Bournemouth Town centre to Swanage, via the chain-link ferry at Sandbanks.
AirBnB
During July and August only, we have 2 large double en-suite AirBnB rooms available on the 2nd floor which are offered on a "room only" basis with access to a small, well stocked, adjacent kitchen. This is the perfect option for guests on a budget to enjoy the convenient location of Alexander Lodge and its beautiful surroundings with the flexibility of self-catering. What we offer
Alexander Lodge has 4 guest rooms (3 doubles and 1 single) - all with newly refurbished en-suites. All B&B rooms are located on the first floor and offer a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary Faith in Nature toiletries, hairdryer and free WiFi.
When you arrive you'll be offered a freshly-made cuppa (with locally roasted artisan coffee or almost any tea option you can imagine!), after which no doubt you will want to take the short stroll to the breathtaking clifftop and then down the zig zag (or handy cliff lift) to our wide, sandy beach, which never seems to get busy, even when it's busy!
We offer a scrummy home-made, locally sourced, full English breakfast (including vegetarian and vegan options) together with a continental breakfast which includes a variety of cereals, Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, toast, fresh coffee and juices. Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am and is included in our room rates.
We have ample free off-road parking available and there is also unrestricted parking available on the road and clifftop. Bikes can be stored securely at the back of the property.
